Your gift helps protect a good summer for Oakland children
Acta Non Verba’s Camp ANV is exactly where children should be this summer. They are outside in the garden, enjoying warmth from the sun, swimming, hiking, and learning about cooking meals.
Alongside them are our teen Junior Counselors, many earning their first paychecks and learning what leadership looks like in real time.
This is a good summer. And we are committed to seeing it through.
This year, we made a deeper commitment to access: 100% of our campers are attending for free or at a significantly reduced cost. At the same time, we are providing paid summer jobs for more local teens, fresh CSA produce for their families, and daily meals for every child at camp.
Because of this expanded support and an unexpected reduction in funding from one of our long-standing government partners, we are navigating a significant funding gap for this season. We need your help.
To ensure camp continues at full strength through its final day on July 10, and to meet payroll and program costs through the end of July, we are working to raise $180,000.
